Can BYOB support Shopify Markets?
BYOB is fully compatible with Shopify Markets when Cart Transformation is enabled. Since Cart Transformation builds bundles directly in the customer's cart, it works seamlessly across multiple currencies and no longer relies on Shopify's Order Editing API.
This removes the previous limitation where orders placed in a foreign currency could not be edited, preventing bundled items from being added after checkout.
Shopify Markets Product Review
When publishing products to Shopify Markets, Shopify reviews them before making them available internationally. As part of this review, Shopify checks the following product information:
- Product title
- Product description
- Product category
Previous versions of BYOB did not include a field for assigning a Product Category before the bundle product was created. This could cause issues during Shopify's review process, as merchants would need to update the product after it had already been generated.
We've addressed this by adding a Product Category field to the bundle creation process. You can now assign the appropriate category before the product is created, ensuring the bundle contains all of the information Shopify requires during its review.

Creating Bundles for Shopify Markets
- Create or edit your bundle in the BYOB app.
- Enter the bundle title and description.
- Select the appropriate Product Category.
- Configure the necessary Product Selection and Discount logic.
- Save your bundle and publish it as usual.
Once your bundle has been created, it can be used with Shopify Markets and Cart Transformation without any additional configuration.
Configuring Shopify Markets
Check the Shopify Admin → Markets → Canada → Products/Catalog and confirm that:
- The generated BYOB bundle parent product is included;
- Every selectable component product/variant is included and available for your target market;
- Inventory/shipping rules allow those variants to be sold.
